How close do YOU live to work??

For those of you who don't already know, I live very very close to work. It takes me about 1 minute to bike to school. Seriously. I will never be really late to school because I can hear the school bell ring from my apartment. Haha.

I've just returned home right now and my students are still at their club activities. The baseball team is practicing on the field right now and I can hear some of the boys yelling. Actually, I know exactly who is yelling because I can recognize my student's voice! Talk about bringing work home with ya! Haha. Sad, another thing I will miss about living in Japan...the commute! ;-)

Update:

My fast was very successful! I went 36 hours without eating! Woot for Cindy!! Yaaay! It was actually not as hard as I thought it'd be. However, the morning after was quite a shock to my body. I ate a banana in the morning and my stomach immediately started hurting! Sad! Luckily, I recovered quickly. But yeah, fasting isn't that bad at all! Perhaps I'll do a semi-annual fast from now on to cleanse my body of toxins!

Hong Kong Pictures....Two Months Later

OK, so I'm FINALLY posting pictures from my trip to Hong Kong with Jeff, Ann and Calvin during Chinese New Year. Sorry for the delay! Enjoy!

Oh yeah, click here for more!

View from Victoria Harbor. Hong Kong seriously has the prettiest skyline!

Let's just say our trip consisted of eating, eating, and oh yeah, more eating. Would you have expected any differently? =)

Hong Kong looks exactly like how you'd imagine...so I was told.

Dim sum, and then some!

The view from Victoria Peak is AMAZING.

Fast

Yes, the kind where you can't eat or drink anything but water. Jeff and I decided to go on a 36-hour fast, which began as of 5 hours ago. And no, hell has not frozen over. We decided that this fast is much needed, as we both want to get rid of some toxins in our bodies. I know, how much can you possibly get rid of after poisoning your body for 26 years, right? Well, it's a start. As you can imagine, we have been quite the drama queens about this whole situation. We planned our meals accordingly before the fast. We're also planning to exert minimal physical activity tomorrow, which shouldn't be hard as it is a Sunday. I know that fasting may be easy for those who sometimes "forget" to eat *gasp* on any given day, but that is not the case for us. If you know us, you'd know that food pervades our thoughts just as the peace sign does in photos from Japan. Saaaad. Anyhoo, maybe I'll finally get around to posting Hong Kong pics from my trip 2 months ago, now that I won't have food to distract me. Or maybe, I will just sleep and dream about food all day long tomorrow. Haha.
