Nikko....did and done with.
Out of pure stubborness, Tim, Sean and I trekked out to Nikko a couple of weekends ago in what might've been the worst day to go to Nikko...ever. Nikko is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and people from all over Japan make the trek out there b/c Japanese people are obsessed w/ seeing every single temple in this country. Anyway, Nikko is a beautiful place w/ many temples, etc., BUT, aren't all temples in Japan the same anyway?? They all look the exact same to me. For all I know, I could've been in Kyoto. The train ride took close to 3 hours and it rained the entire time. Fun stuff. We all wanted to go just to check it off our list and say that we went, considering it is "close" to us so it'd be a shame not to have ever been.
We got the combo ticket pack and decided we'd visit every temple we had a ticket for and then leave. Didn't even quite accomplish that. Hehe. It was wet wet wet the entire time. We were not the genki-est people, that's for sure. We just wanted our token picture in front of the famous see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil, blah blah monkeys and get the heck outta there. Haha. Check. We bumped into several Gunmanians along our mission and decided we'd head up to the lake w/ them for a visit. We had lunch, took a quick look at the waterfall and then caught a ride in Emily's car back to Ota. To top it off, I got car sick. Ugh. Well, not that bad really, but I just can't handle long car rides anymore!
We finally made it back to Ota and we were all too tired to go out to do anything so we just went home. We're such the party animals on a Saturday night. Haha.
The next day, I finished the second season of Veronica Mars at Jeff's. It's soo damn good!! Go out and buy the DVD peoples!! Awww...no more VM for months...sad!
Thought of the day:
Tired. I am addicted to caffeine once again.
