Ok, so this didn't happen at my school, but I'm just stealing something that Ann wrote to me in an email just now. Thanks, Ann!

"I'm grading papers right now and the essay is about "the best advice I've
ever had" this one kid wrote: i wanted to enter this school so I had to
study hard... and told that "Don't sleep or you won't be able to pass the
exam." ... thanks to those words I can enter this school."

Ya hear that, kids? If you deprive yourself of sleep, you will go very far in life. Hahahahaha.
